Retrospect was created out of a love for dance music and a desire to fill a gap in the podcast world—bringing together carefully selected tracks from the 1990s to the early 2010s, mixed seamlessly for a full hour with no interruptions, no ads, and no speech—just pure music.

Unlike many dance music podcasts and radio shows that stick to well-known anthems, Retrospect digs deeper—blending established tunes with occasional classics and rare, obscure, and long-forgotten tracks that are more closely associated with nightclubs and raves than radio shows—tracks you might not have heard in years, or maybe ever.

While the podcast is mostly Trance-focused, expect to hear a variety of styles, including House, Euro-House, Tech-Trance, Hardgroove Techno, and more. Host and DJ Carl Briggs isn’t one for rigid boundaries—his broad taste in dance music ensures every episode takes you on a nostalgic journey through the golden age of dance music.

Due to hearing issues, Retrospect will be released every three months (quarterly), allowing Carl sufficient time to record between episodes when health permits. Thanks for your understanding and support!
